Dans cet article, deux psychomotriciennes dialoguent sur les notions d’acte et d’engagement thérapeutique tel qu’elles sont envisagées en psychomotricité. En effet, si la psychomotricité est loin d’être la seule intervention qui favorise la dimension corporelle, l’acte du patient construit le processus de soin via sa rencontre avec celui du thérapeute, au moyen de dispositifs élaborés pour faire émerger la créativité, l’expression, l’autonomie. Alexandrine Saint-Cast et Catherine Potel développent ces considérations, en lien avec l’actualité des demandes faites aux psychomotriciens, en en faisant appel à des références théoriques complémentaires, étayées de vignettes cliniques.

In this article, two psychomotricians discuss the ideas behind act and engagement as envisaged in psychomotricity. Indeed if psychomotricity is far from being the only domain including body work, the act of the patient constructs the care process via the meeting with the therapist, through the use of programs aiming at promoting creativity, expression and autonomy. Alexandrine Saint-Cast and Catherine Potel develop these thoughts linking them to the latest requirements made of psychomotricians, and to complementary theory supported by clinical histories.
