Les écrits de Pierre Delion concernent souvent les enfants psychotiques et leur traitement en institution. S’inspirant librement des pionniers de la thérapie institutionnelle (Tosquelle, Oury…) et des découvertes de Winnicott, Pierre Delion a popularisé la notion de fonction phorique du thérapeute qui pourrait être une des traductions possibles dans le soin du holding maternel winnicottien.Frappé par l’utilisation fréquente en médecine d’enfants du mot « prise en charge », et partir de trois vignettes cliniques personnelles, j’ai tenté de montrer en quoi ce concept de fonction phorique pouvait être enrichissant dans la pratique quotidienne d’un pédiatre. Idéalement, celui-ci devrait pouvoir se ressourcer dans des lieux d’échange et de supervision regroupant divers professionnels de l’enfance.

Pierre Delion’s writing often concerns psychotic children and their treatment in an institution. Freely inspired by the pioneers of institutional therapy (Tosquelle, Oury…) and by Winnicott’s discoveries, Pierre Delion has popularized the notion of the holding function of the therapist which could be one of the possible translations in Winnicott’s maternal holding treatment. Struck by the frequent use in child medicine by the word «treatment», and drawing on three personal case studies, I have tried to show in what way this concept of holding function could be enriching in the daily practice of the pediatrician. Ideally he should be able to get fresh ideas in these places of exchange and supervision bringing together different child professionals
