Cet article propose une réflexion sur la question du traumatisme et ses conséquences. L’auteur, éducateur spécialisé dans un Institut thérapeutique, éducatif et pédagogique (itep), y développe une approche qui repose à la fois sur sa pratique professionnelle (clinique) et sur certaines recherches théoriques. Prenant pour exemple l’un des adolescents qu’il accompagne depuis plusieurs années, il tente de mettre en évidence les liens entre les troubles (du comportement) manifestés par ce garçon et les épreuves issues de son histoire.

This article reflects on the question of the traumatism and its consequences. The author, a special-needs educator in a therapeutic, educative and pedagogical institute (itep) develops in it an approach that is based both on his professional (clinical) practice and on certain theoretical research studies. Taking, for example, one of the adolescents whom he has been working with for several years, he tries to show the links between the behavioural disorders manifested by this boy and the ordeals he has been through in his own personal history.
