Soutenir les futures mères et les futurs parents présentant des troubles psychiques nécessite une coordination de l’ensemble des professionnels de santé périnatale. Psychiatres d’adulte et pédopsychiatres travaillent encore trop peu en lien alors qu’une littérature maintenant abondante insiste sur l’importance de prendre soin de l’adulte et du futur parent puis, plus tard, des relations en construction entre ce bébé et ses parents. La consultation cico (entretien infirmier et consultation conjointe psychiatre-pédopsychiatre) prénatale ou préconceptionnelle est l’occasion de discuter avec les femmes et les couples les options thérapeutiques les plus appropriées, de faciliter la mise en réseau des professionnels et de proposer au plus tôt un suivi pédopsychiatrique adapté.

Adult and child psychiatrists still do not work together sufficiently, even though there is now an abundant literature that insists on the importance of caring for the adult and for the future parent and, subsequently, the relations being formed between this baby and its parents. The prenatal or preconception cico (maternity nursing interview and combined psychiatric/child psychiatric consultation) is an opportunity for discussing the most appropriate therapeutic options with the women and couples, for facilitating the networking of professionals, and for proposing suitable child psychiatric care at the earliest opportunity.
