Le Québec accorde une importance toute particulière à la petite enfance. Elle prend plusieurs formes, que ce soit au niveau du noyau familial ou encore au niveau gouvernemental. Depuis les années 1990, cet intérêt s’est manifesté à travers des initiatives à grande échelle afin de promouvoir le bon développement des enfants. Cet article présente trois grandes initiatives qui ont marqué l’intervention en petite enfance au Québec. Ces trois initiatives ont en commun leur utilisation des données probantes et du modèle écologique comme structure de programme.

Quebec places particular importance on early childhood. This takes several forms, whether it is at the level of the family unit or at the level of government. Since the 1990s, this interest has shown itself through initiatives on a grand scale to promote the healthy development of children. This article presents three major initiatives which have made a mark on early childhood intervention in Quebec. A point in common between these three initiatives is their utilization of convincing evidence and of the ecological model as a programme structure.
