Mourir et se reproduire sont pour le vivant deux actes fondamentaux et complémentaires. Entre ces deux moments l’homme a situé un imaginaire de survie, où récemment ont trouvé place de formes hybrides entre l’imaginaire et le physique, gérées par les usagers et connues comme Afterlife numérique. Dans certains cas elles activent un imaginaire d’auto génération interpellant la reproduction et ses transformations, l’immortalité et leur rapport au sexe et à la mort.

Death and reproduction are both fundamental and complementary acts for the living being. Between these functions, man has created an imaginary sphere associated with survival, and recently a number of hybrid digital forms of both an imaginary and physical nature have come to fill this space, managed by users and referred to as the Digital Afterlife. Sometimes, these forms activate an imaginary sphere of self-generation, challenging not only the notion of reproduction and its transformations, but also the question of immortality and the links between such notions and sex and death.
