À partir d’un référentiel psychanalytique, et sur la base d’un cas clinique, l’article interroge l’expérience subjective du coma comme épreuve exilaire, de « seconde mort », d’où le sujet, arraché à ses fondements symboliques, pourrait « renaître » à son ex-istence sur la base d’un choix ou assentiment intérieurs, d’une détermination qui vaut comme acte décisionnaire. Lequel acte souligne au fond la ligne de partage entre « vie nue » et existence, aussi bien qu’entre mort réelle et mort symbolique, tout en impliquant une véritable « traversée », migration ou transmutation subjective. Ligne de partage qui dessine peut-être également le seuil à partir duquel le sujet peut exercer sa dignité, notion morale abstraite qu’il s’agit aussi de questionner ici, à travers différents motifs, du point de vue notamment de ses enjeux psychiques.

From a psychoanalytical referential, and on the basis of a clinical case, the article questions the subjective experience of coma as an exilic ordeal, of “second death”, from which the subject, torn away from his symbolic foundations, could be “reborn” to his ex-existence on the basis of an interior choice or assent, of a determination that is worth as a decisional act. This act underlines basically the line of division between “naked life” and existence, as well as between real death and symbolic death, while implying a real “crossing”, migration or subjective transmutation. À dividing line that perhaps also draws the threshold from which the subject can exercise his dignity, an abstract moral notion that it is also a question of questioning here, through different motives, from the point of view of theses psychic stakes.
