Dans cet article, Guilhen Antier aborde la question de la vérité de l’exégète sous l’angle de son rapport au mensonge, d’après un référentiel fictionnel puis psychanalytique. Loin de s’opposer à la vérité comme son contraire, le mensonge apparaît sur le plan inconscient comme une énonciation possible de la vérité. L’article met ensuite en jeu l’hypothèse d’une articulation entre la dimension anthropologique du trait d’esprit et la dimension théologique du Saint Esprit, dans une lecture du texte de Matthieu 10,16-20 axée sur la question du témoignage rendu à la vérité. La liberté de l’Évangile opère comme une libération de la vérité de sa confusion avec le savoir.

In this article, Guilhen Antier addresses the question of the truth of the exegete from the angle of its relationship to the lie, according to fictional and psychoanalytical references. Far from being the opposite of the truth, the lie is seen at an unconscious level as a possible declaration of the truth. The article then hypothesises on an articulation between the anthropological dimension of the witticism and the theological dimension of the Holy Spirit, in Matthew 10 :16-20 testimony to the truth. The liberty of the Gospel works as a liberation of the truth from its confusion with knowledge.
