Comment situer l’expérience du symptôme dans l’horizon ouvert par Freud et repris par Lacan ? D’abord en y voyant l’ouverture d’un champ neuf de l’expérimenter, qui va du réel du symptôme à sa confrontation au symptôme dans l’analyse. Champ neuf d’un empirisme radical soutenu par la conceptualité métapsychologique. Pas d’écoute du symptôme sans écriture structurale : le paradoxe et l’originalité du champ analytique sont de combiner la référence à l’universel concret de la structure et la singularité absolue du sujet, ce que la notion d’idiolecte permet de repérer. Le sujet, comme « parlêtre », est bien unique en son genre. Tel le « perroquet de Humboldt », il est acculé à parler sa propre langue, langue d’un (e) seul(e), tout en témoignant d’une structure, à la fois invisible et active, posture envers la castration. Contre la tendance à noyer le poisson de la structure dans l’océan des désorganisations psychiques et des hybrides psychopathologiques – tendance lourde de la tendance postfreudienne de la psychopathologie –, il s’agit de resituer le sujet de l’inconscient en cette diagonale de la structure à l’idiolecte, au vif de l’expérience analytique.
