Over the passage of time, in the history of societies, the myth of the Phoenix has been reduced to the creature’s magical ability to be reborn from its ashes. Yet the original kernels of this myth are those of the living quaternity of the primitive Self, no longer represented by the current image of the Phoenix. llustrated structural elements survive: disparate, static fragments that are no longer part of a mythological story. In its temporal, verbal and poetic dimensions, the myth is still alive, and likely to metamorphose and be reborn.
