The authors draw primarily on two clinical cases: one typical of fetishism, the other seemingly more distant. The concepts of fetish, fantasy, and transgression are compared and discussed. The article then questions both the perverse “structure” and the place of these elements in the dynamics that characterize it, before going on to consider the fetish as a condition for the enjoyment of the Other.
