Figuration of the Untranslatable of Exclusion by Means of Supervision

Sujet(s) : Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : Based on the clinical supervision of a psychosocial intervention team working with Eastern-European immigrants in a precarious situation in Paris, the present article proposes a metapsychologial formulation of the development of subjective boundaries and of a possible social inscription of this population. A temporal and spatial gap would seem to be necessary to this formulation, particularly with regard to the weight given by the actual experience of the street and the importance of what needs to be done in presentia, and this places in a precarious position both the subject and the person who comes in contact with them in a regressive situation. This latter is due to the shift induced by the shared language: so close and yet so far for both of them in this given situation. The process of figurability of these untranslatable shared words becomes possible within the supervision, renewing the perception-language continuity and offering the subject a way-out from the traumatic sideration through a narration that starts with the figuration of this encounter with this other who reactualizes the possibility of a reliable boundary.
