Motherhood is a unique psychological experience every time, for every mother. The psychic bisexuality of the subject provides a perspective from which to better understand the uniqueness of motherhood through successive births. Psychic bisexuality is never definitively established, as the masculine and feminine dispositions evolve and are expressed differently with each birth. In addition, a fantasy of completeness emerges during maternity, and is experienced differently in each pregnancy. In this article we propose to review the situation wherein, struggling with the maternal phallic imago, certain women perceive one of their children as a fetish, and as a means of keeping intact the fantasy of psychic bisexuality (of being both subject and object, man and woman).
