Type de matériel :

In retirement homes, a number of residents suffering from Alzheimer’s disease are confronted with intense feelings of solitude. Indeed, as the disease advances, it can become more and more difficult to communicate with those affected by the disease. The question of the emotional investment of the Other can thus be posed. Through four clinical situations, we identify possible psychological effects of the retreat of the Other, and also potential therapeutic possibilities.
