Now is the right time to create a new dialogue between anthropology and psychoanalysis. Each one of these sciences studies the modifications of subjectivity in our contemporary world and they do it beyond any ethnopsychiatric ideology. The two major notions of “ethnicity” and “identity” are extensively reconsidered. The capita-listic globalization process changes both the objects and methods of the social sciences, especially anthropology and psychoanalysis.
