The aim of this article is to contribute to current thinking, at the intersection of psychoanalysis and psychosociology, on the need for a creative and participative approach, mediatized by cultural objects, within institutions— in particular those institutions whose main concern is the socialization of younger people. This text draws on the clinical experience of an intervention and care team in a junior secondary school in the Greater Paris region, focusing particularly on a clinical situation that showed how the use of mediations (photos, games, writings, etc.) in small groups of up to ten adolescents makes it possible to approach and understand the encounter, not to say the clash, between adolescent issues and institutional issues.
