From the advances of ethnology to the children’s sexual theories, everything suggests that the child’s desire from a woman gets through moments of unprecedented complexity. Current researches of psychoanalysis help know that this desire to have a child can only take place if the young woman succeeds in seeing in her mother an ideal figure (image). This is very complicated because upsets by the consequences of her Oedipus complex never totally overcome, which makes this desire paradoxical. The psychotherapeutic follow-up of a young woman who came for a consultation after an attempt of abortion permits to notice the mazes of this desire.
