The Councils for people who are sheltered /supported (CNPA and CRPS) originated in a public order dating back a little over 10 years aimed at organizing the participation of people in precarious situations in the policies that concern them, and more particularly in policies on accommodation and access to housing. As a result of the work of this participatory body, a plea entitled “ Words without filters – observations and recommendations of persons in a situation of precarity regarding the policies concerning them” was published in 2022. A regional delegate, a former delegate who is currently an active member of the CNPA, and two professionals, all four of whom were involved in this work, discuss with a teacher/researcher the history and missions of this network as well as the aspirations reflected in the plea.
