The elusive grasp of pain
Type de matériel :
36
Patients who come to a chronic pain consultation bring their hope and their request for relief from a physicality subjected to the shaking of an invisible “accident”. A recalcitrant shaking that confronts the subject with the thickness of an unrepresentability that is difficult to communicate, and exposes him or her to a body that has become shifting and uncertain. How then to hear the painful body in order to cross the formlessness linked to the failure of words? The subjective body presents itself as a possible modality for listening to the subject’s somatic disarray in intercorporeality and accompanying him through the painful chaos towards a revival of his narrativity.
