At the end of the’70s, after a “spirited” meeting with Simone de Beauvoir around “Sexisme Ordinaire”, a vocation was born. Thus, my passionate letter to “Castor”, author (not “woman author”), journalist, philosopher, passionate lover, engaged and…feminist without meaning to be. So free, so modern, she said to me that day, “What if you wrote an article for Les Temps Modernes about the feminist revolution in the USA?” The Second Sex would change the lives of women everywhere in the world; Beauvoir would change my own. I became a journalist.
