Type de matériel :
88
In Cicero’s time, only eight Sicilian cities enjoyed a privileged status; this paper proposes to identify motivations (such as the strategic importance of the site, faithfulness to the Roman cause, family ties with Urbs, individual merits of the cities, and persuasive capacities of their ambassadors) that suggested to the Romans that the inhabitants of one city should be favored rather than those of another.
