Early maladaptive schemas offer another tool for clinical evaluation in private psychiatry practice. It can be useful to consider them when evaluating the risk of parental burnout. The article gives a detailed definition of parental burnout, and especially the risk factors that lead to it, then uses a clinical case to illustrate the schema therapy approach.
