Les aspects anthropo-culturels des masques mettent en évidence des significations et des actions qui se reflètent également dans la psychopathologie : l’identité, la protection, la transformation, cacher quelque chose, donner des qualités et des pouvoirs, entre autres. L’image de départ « Un masque jeté au pied d’un olivier », dans le cas clinique présenté, a permis de faire venir à la surface la représentation archaïque traumatique, à travers le symbolisme du feu et de ce qui s’y associe dans le présent. Les actions thérapeutiques, par la circularité dans l’imaginaire, s’inscrivent dans la théorie structurale et dans la théorie de la fonction de l’imaginaire.

In this clinical case, the initial image, « A mask thrown at the foot of an olive tree », allowed the archaic traumatic representation to surface through the symbolism of fire and its current correlations. Through the circularity among images, therapeutic actions fit within the structural theory and the imaginary function theory.

L’immagine iniziale « Una maschera gettata ai piedi di un ulivo », nel caso clinico esposto ha permesso di far affiorare la rappresentazione traumatica arcaica, attraverso il simbolismo del fuoco, ed i suoi correlati nel presente ; le azioni terapeutiche, nella circolarità immaginativa, vengono inquadrate nella teoria strutturale ed in quella funzionale dell’immaginario.
