Si la catégorie de l’universel est classiquement associée aux droits de l’homme, et à la raison grecque, au travers notamment la notion d’éthique. Hors le monde contemporain, depuis l’insoutenable d’Auschwitz, n’a pu que se réinterroger sur sa civilisation, son rapport au divin et à l’art. Il est apparu alors, que par le biais de l’esthétique et de la poésie, une autre catégorie de pensée, celui de la promesse, emprunté au corpus juif, modifiait notre conception de la représentation, de l’œuvre et de la temporalité.

If the category of the universal is classically associated with the human rights, and for the Greek reason, in particular the notion of ethics. However, the contemporary world, since the unbearable of Auschwitz, has to wonder about its civilization, its relation with the divine and with the art. It appeared then, through the aesthetics and of the poetry, another category of thought – the promise – borrowed from the Jewish corpus, modified our conception of the representation, the work of art and the temporality.

Pero el mundo contemporáneo, desde el insostenible de Auschwitz, pudo sólo reinterrogarse su civilización, su relación con el divino y el arte. Apareció entonces, que por el rodeo de la estética y de la poesía, otra categoría de pensamiento, la de la promesa, tomado al corpus judío, modificaba nuestra concepción de la representación, de la obra y de la temporalidad.
