Nous sommes une discipline dont l’un des objets est la « cohabitation », à différentes échelles : intrapsychique («  triebmischung », disait Freud, « nœud borroméen » proposait Lacan), intrafamiliale (homéostasie et changement systémique), de pallier, d’immeuble, de quartier, de communauté (psychiatrie sociale). Contenir les violences prédatrices de notre héritage bio-psychosocial en vue d’une « citoyenneté suffisamment bonne » fait partie intégrante de notre métier, pour autant que le soin médical, quelle que soit son efficacité pharmacologique, est d’une efficience à peu près nulle, s’il n’est pas étroitement associé à une démarche socio-inclusive attentive. Cette dernière ne repose pas seulement sur une bienveillance ou de bons sentiments, mais exige une technicité spécifique qui mérite d’être enseignée.

In our discipline, the notion of “cohabitation” exists at several different levels: the intrapsychic (Freud spoke of “triebmischung,” while Lacan proposed the notion of the “Borromean knot”), the intrafamilial (homeostasis and systemic change), and those of the floor, the building, the neighborhood, and the community (social psychiatry). Containing the predatory violence of our biopsycho-social heritage in order to achieve a “good enough citizenship” is an integral part of our profession, insofar as medical care, whatever its pharmacological effectiveness, is of little or no effect if it is not closely associated with an attentive socio-inclusive approach. The latter is not only based on benevolence or good feelings, but requires a specific technicality that ought to be taught.

Somos una disciplina en la que uno de los objetivos es la “convivencia”, a diferentes escalas: intrapsíquico (“triebmischung”, decía Freud, “nudo borromeo” proponía Lacan), intrafamiliar (homeostasis y cambio sistémico), del piso, del edificio, del barrio, de la comunidad (psiquiatría social). Contener la violencia depredadora de nuestra herencia biopsicosocial para lograr una “ciudadanía lo suficientemente buena” forma parte integrante de nuestro oficio, en la medida en que la atención médica, sea cual sea su eficacia farmacológica, es de escasa o nula eficacia si no está estrechamente asociada a un enfoque socioinclusivo atento. La misma no sólo descansa en una benevolencia o los buenos sentimientos, sino que requiere un tecnicismo específico que merece ser enseñado.
