Prolonged and Militant Breastfeeding, and the Constitution of the Generational Link

Par : Contributeur(s) : Type de matériel : TexteTexteLangue : français Détails de publication : 2008. Sujet(s) : Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : The purpose of this paper is to show how prolonged breast-feeding affects the process of linking in an unexpected manner, with a specific reference to the differentiation between generations. This observation is based on an initial study encompassing eight mothers who breast-fed their child for more than six months. Based on a reference scale of problems affecting symbolisation in the context of projective testing, the Rorschach test shows the identification of gaps in the process of unconscious transmission among mothers who are breast-feeding over a prolonged period, as well as the creation of conditions leading to question the bases of identity. Authors discuss the hypothesis of a resolution of failures in generational transmission.
