Adolescence marks the beginning of genital sexuality and separation. It raises important psychical issues in families. This paper addresses this topic based on a clinical case of a teenage girl and her mother. The mother experienced sexual abuse in her adolescence. This paper argues that this repetition is rooted in an unconscious psychical transmission between mother and daughter.
