The family false self appears as a fundamental organization of the family, which then presents a surface identity, or a false identity. Its characteristics are as follows: the family false self is a group phenomenon, which concerns the members of a family; it results in the impossibility of summoning a family reflexive thought; in order to try to get rid of a suffering or a toxicity in the bonds, the family organization pursues an extinction of the phantasmatic resonance; to shield against this lost vitality, the family can hold on to a related object that offers its members the illusion of momentum; consequently, the family sets up an artificial ideology, which in turn makes the family bonds artificial.
