Incest in siblings

Brother-sister incest is rooted in a failure of parental and mainly paternal functions. As a result, over the generations, violence gradually becomes the dominant and constituent link in the family structure. One of the consequences is a significant narcissistic fragility in these children, a fragility that hinders access to oedipal triangulation. We hypothesize that the incestuous act of the son-aggressor is the echo of an incestuous fantasy present in the father. The “incestual” of the father is expressed by the bequest of a privileged place for one of the children. The child on the “incestual” side of the father becomes the one to destroy for the brother-aggressors because they feel excluded from a father-son link. In the clinical situation we are deploying, this is associated with the “murderousness” of the father toward the sons. The “murderousness” and “incestual” nature of the father is often echoed in the children. The incestuous act would then be a variant of parricide.
