It then investigates the sociological determinants of their contemporary professional practice. By focusing more specifically on the analysis of the relationship they have with immigrant communities – professional networks, rhetorical strategies and civic engagement – this essay tries to understand how African lawyers can contribute to the reproduction of a political consensus on immigration.
