Cet article traite de la problématique de la migration étudiante spontanée, non encadrée ou «  free-movers », à trajectoire Sud-Nord. Il rend compte d’une partie des résultats d’une enquête sociologique qui a pour objectif d’analyser et de comprendre les migrations étudiantes algériennes. Dans un premier temps, nous traiterons des intentions de migrer, – à travers l’étude des représentations, des attitudes et des projets de migration –, relevés auprès des étudiants inscrits dans des écoles supérieures des filières scientifiques et technologiques à Alger. Dans un deuxième temps, nous rendrons comptes, des stratégies, des ressources, des difficultés et des vécus des étudiants algériens, déjà inscrits dans des établissements d’enseignement supérieur à Paris en France. Nous rendrons aussi compte des représentations et attitudes de ces étudiants envers le retour et/ou le non-retour au pays à la fin des études.Cet article aspire donc à contribuer à la compréhension des spécificités de la migration étudiante algérienne vers la France en étudiant le processus de migration depuis le pays de départ, jusqu’à la migration effective dans le pays de destination. Pour ce faire, nous restituerons tout au long des lignes qui suivront, les discours des étudiants interrogés sur leurs projets migratoires et leurs perspectives d’avenir.

This article treats with the problem of the spontaneous student migration or the « free-movers » in trajectory South-North. It reports a part of the results of a sociological survey which has for objective to analyze and to understand the Algerian student migrations. At first, we shall handle intentions to migrate, – through the study of the representations, the attitudes and the projects of migration in Algiers. Secondly, we shall report, strategies, real-life experiences, resources and difficulties of the Algerian students already registered in institutions of higher education in Paris in France. We shall report, representations and attitudes of these students to return and/or not return in the country at the end of the studies.This article projects to contribute to understand the specificities of the Algerian student migration, by studying the process of migration from the country of departure, until the effective migration in the country of destination. It will be done by restoring throughout the lines which will follow, the speeches of the students questioned about their migratory projects, their future prospects.
