Yemen has been plagued with a Shiite rebellion for some years now, and Iran tried hard to back it and take some foothold in the country. But US policy against terror has changed the landscape and Yemenite authorities have been willy nilly drawn to collaborate with the Americans, as Qatar intervened to calm down the internal religious war.
