Le renversement de Moubarak inaugure une période d’incertitude pour l’Égypte. L’opinion publique égyptienne est devenue un nouvel acteur politique dont les choix influeront sur la politique étrangère du pays. L’ère où l’Égypte s’alignait sur les États-Unis et Israël est révolue, notamment sur le conflit israélo-palestinien. L’antiaméricanisme du peuple égyptien constitue une donnée que le nouveau gouvernement égyptien devra prendre en ligne de compte, tout en poursuivant des relations étroites et indispensables avec les États-Unis.

The fall of Mubarak marks the beginning of period of uncertainty for Egypt. The Egyptian public opinion has become a new political actor whose choices will bear an influence upon the Egyptian foreign policy. The era when Egypt was aligning itself on the USA and Israel is over, especially with regards to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The antiamericanism of the Egyptian people is an given that the new Egyptian government will have to take into consideration, while pursuing close and essential relations with the United States.
