The environmental crisis is a crisis of the thought and the reason, of the ontology and the epistemology, a crisis of the scientific and technological rationality through which our modern civilization has dominated nature and “economized” the world. This context calls for a new rationality that we’re naming “environmental rationality.” It is a rationality that is able to take into account the limits of reality, the incompleteness of being and the impossible totalization of knowledge.
