Type de matériel :
100
A time of exceptional crisis, the Thirty Years’ War gave rise to countless personal accounts that attempt to explain the misfortune, overcome the suffering, and restore order to a shattered world. The region of Lorraine was particularly affected and is the source of an impressive collection of these texts. Three types can be discerned. First, texts written in emergencies, generated by a need to deal with immediate violence. Second, the chronicles and newspapers that explain and reorganize events. Finally, more elaborate writing: verse and novels.
