Although we cannot deny the legislative advances made in terms of the protection of women victims of domestic violence, especially since 2010, limits nevertheless appear in the application of the texts in force today. In both criminal and civil proceedings, women struggle to be heard, confronted with an “obstacle course” in the face of a justice system that is insufficiently trained and lacking in resources. Specialized associations propose ways to ensure that the justice system hears the seriousness of domestic violence from the very first time it is reported.
