Art Thinking: A method for creating the improbable with certainty

Par : Type de matériel : TexteTexteLangue : français Détails de publication : 2020. Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : Art Thinking is a new method that makes it possible to create the improbable with certainty. The improbable can be defined as a situation that is unpredictable, implausible, and yet can be imposed in reality. From the election of Trump to that of Macron, from the gilets jaunes movement to Brexit, as well as the rapid spread of new technologies and high-growth startups, the improbable is a constant. In such a context, the improbable concerns a growing number of audiences. Automation amplifies this phenomenon because humans must be creative and imaginative to differentiate themselves from machines. Humans cannot merely reproduce steady routines that could be more effectively carried out by technology. Finally, the climate challenge requires new methods of production and consumption that may initially appear improbable. To respond to these upheavals, our educational system must no longer simply train us for what exists, but also allow individuals to train for what might exist in the future. In other words, we must provide creative training not for a few particular profiles (artists, designers, architects, etc.) but for a massive number of people. To contribute to this challenge, we have designed the Improbable seminar, which allows people to train in Art Thinking and to learn about creative practices in three days.
