The strategic brief therapy (sbt) approach to supervision enables educators to break out of a linear system of thinking that locks them into a relational cycle with users, making them practice “more of the same,” creating suffering and ill-being at work. By focusing on the processes of interaction and communication between the different parts of a system, the sbt approach makes it possible to think in terms of alternative hypotheses of understanding and new resources.
