RésuméCet article aborde trois questions : comment se pose, dans un pays comme le Brésil, la question du développement de la filière agro-énergétique à partir de la canne à sucre ? Comment s’opère la progression spatiale et la concentration industrielle et régionale de cette agro-industrie dans un pays marqué par des structures de production très différenciées et inégales ? Enfin, comment le modèle productiviste qui relance les problèmes écologiques et technologiques répond, en partie, aux défis de la modernisation et du développement territorial ?

The challenge of biofuels in BrazilThis article approaches three questions: how settles, in a country as Brazil, the question of the development of the agro-energy sector from the sugar cane? How takes place the spatial progress and the industrial and regional concentration of this agro-industry in a country marked by very differentiated and uneven structures of production? Finally, how the productivity model, which partially boosts the ecological and technological problems, answers the challenges of the modernization and the territorial development?
