Lothrop Stoddard (1883-1950) est un auteur politiquement incorrect. Il est raciste, affirme l’inégalité entre les hommes et la supériorité des classes possédantes, prône l’eugénisme et la mise au pas de ceux qui prêchent la révolte. Il fut cependant édité et traduit dans plusieurs pays et ses livres connaissent encore des rééditions tant en France qu’aux États-Unis. On trouve par ailleurs l’ensemble de son œuvre numérisée sur le Net. Il est l’inventeur du concept de « sous-homme » qu’il utilise pour la première fois, en 1919, à propos des bolcheviques qui viennent de prendre le pouvoir en Russie. Il le définit comme « l’homme qui est en-dessous des normes de capacité et d’adaptabilité imposées par l’ordre social dans lequel il vit » et en étendra son application aussi bien aux pauvres et aux étrangers qu’à tous les révolutionnaires qui menacent, selon lui, le monde des blancs fortunés.

He is racist, affirms the inequality between men and the superiority of the wealthy classes, advocates eugenics and the bringing of those who preach revolt. He has, however, been published and translated in several countries and his books are still reissued in France and the United States. We can also find all his work digitized on the Net. He is the inventor of the concept of “Underman” that he used for the first time, in 1919, about the Bolsheviks who have just taken power in Russia. He defines it as “the man who measures under the standards of capacity and adaptability imposed by the social order in which he lives” and extends it to the Poor and foreigners as well as to all revolutionaries which threaten, according to him, the world of wealthy Whites.
