L’auteur prend appui sur les entretiens que Patricia Latour et lui ont eus en janvier 1991 avec Henri Lefebvre. Ces entretiens qui ont donné lieu au livre Conversation avec Henri Lefebvre (Messidor 1991, collection « Libres propos ») portèrent sur le parcours intellectuel du métaphilosophe, mais aussi sur sa perception des événements qui ont suivi la chute du Mur. Il revient notamment sur l’affirmation contenue dans le livre qu’Henri Lefebvre avait composé avec Catherine Régulier en 1978 : La Révolution n’est plus ce qu’elle était. Henri Lefebvre s’efforçait dans ce dialogue de définir ce qu’il entendait par « la voie nouvelle », voie démocratique qui serait en même temps une voie révolutionnaire. L’auteur réfléchit au prolongement possible de cette pensée pour aujourd’hui.

The author relies on the interviews he and Patricia Latour had with Henri Lefebvre in January 1991. These talks that gave rise to the book « Conversations avec Henri Lefebvre » Messidor 1991, Libres propos collection) focused on the intellectual journey of the meta-philosopher and also on his feelings about the events that followed the fall of the wall. He returns in particular to the statement contained in the book that Henri Lefebvre had composed with Catherine Régulier in 1978 : « The Revolution is no longer what it was ». Henri Lefebvre tried in this dialogue to define what he meant by « the new way », a democratic way which would at the same time be a revolutionary one. The author reflects on the possible extension of this thought for today.
