L’objet de cette contribution est d’interroger la manière dont les élèves vivent l’expérience de l’école. On se demandera en particulier comment ils rencontrent le monde social et culturel de l’école, comment ils investissent le domaine propre d’activité et de production de l’institution scolaire, la transmission-appropriation des savoirs, quel sens et quelle forme ils donnent à cette expérience de l’école dans leur histoire de socialisation et dans leur construction personnelle.

In this paper we will question the way students experience school. We will specifically explore the way they encounter the social and cultural universe of school, the way in which the get involved in school’s specific areas of activity and production, in the transmission and appropriation of knowledge. Finally, we will focus on the meaning and the form they give to the school experience within their socialization history and their self construction.
