In his seminal work, The Interpretation of Dreams, Freud simultaneously presented the dream as translation, while transmitting psychoanalysis in the process of being born, as the child of that translation. In translating any text, one can also approach the act of translating itself. This approach shows itself to be an invaluable experience in the training of any psychoanalyst.
