L’auteur décrit le candomblé, le culte des orishas au Brésil, l’initiation, les principaux orishas. Il analyse sa place sociale et culturelle, mais aussi les processus psychiques qu’il mobilise. Il montre les points communs ou de convergence entre candomblé et psychanalyse. Les psychanalystes pourraient s’en inspirer pour développer leurs réponses à certaines questions cruciales actuelles : l’accueil de l’étranger et la prévention de la tentation terroriste chez les adolescents et les jeunes gens.

The author describes the candomble, the cult of the orisha in Brazil, the initiation, the main orisha. He analyses its social and cultural place but also the psychic process it mobilizes. He shows the common or converging points between the candomble and the psychoanalysis. The psychoanalysts could draw their inspiration from it to develop their response to some crucial and present concerns : how to welcome the foreigners and how to prevent adolescents and young adults fom the temptation of terrorism.
