With the title “Rwanda 1994. Archives, Memories, Legacies”, the dossier brings together contributions from historians, art historian and anthropologist from Rwanda, France, Belgium, South Africa and the United States. It examines the situation of Rwandan archives, deals with the production of memories of the genocide and the debates and controversies it has generated, and aims to disseminate the work of Rwandan historians. With this dossier, the authors demonstrate the need to cross approaches to the genocide, between local and national dimensions.

Titré « Rwanda 1994. Archives, mémoires, héritages », le dossier rassemble des contributions d’historien·ne·s, historienne de l’art et anthropologue du Rwanda, de France, de Belgique, d’Afrique du Sud et des États-Unis. Il interroge la situation des archives rwandaises, traite de la production des mémoires du génocide et des débats et controverses que celui-ci a généré et entend diffuser les travaux d’historiens rwandais. Au travers de ce dossier, les auteurs montrent la nécessité de croiser les approches sur le génocide, entre dimensions locale et nationale.
