Après avoir rappelé le contexte d’émergence des politiques d’intégration scolaire en France, l’article montre comment la question d’une poursuite de carrière au sein de l’institution a été inscrite à l’agenda politique. À partir d’une étude par questionnaires et des temps d’observation participante, la présente contribution fait un état des lieux de la mise en œuvre de la politique publique par les établissements de l’enseignement supérieur public. Les résultats montrent de grandes tendances nationales témoignant d’une dynamique réelle mais permettent également de mettre en évidence des locals1 avec leurs singularités. Politiques d’établissements, organisation, moyens humains et leurs compétences, budget, missions, stratégies partenariales sont autant d’éléments investigués, lesquels apportent des éléments de réponses au sujet d’une possible égalité des chances des étudiants handicapés selon les établissements.

Having reminded the context of emergence of the politics of school integration in France, the article shows how the question of a continuation of career within the institution was registered on the political diary. From a study by questionnaires and times of participating observation, the present contribution makes a current situation (inventory of fixtures) of the implementation of the public politics by the establishments of the public higher education. The results show big national tendencies testifying of a real dynamics but also allow to highlight locals with their peculiarities. Politics of establishments, organization, average human beings and their skills, budget, missions, partnership strategies are so many investigated elements, which bring elements of answers about a possible equality of opportunity.
