RésuméSi le sujet des poissons génétiquement modifiés est à l’ordre du jour outre-Atlantique, cela ne semble pas être le cas en Europe. Ce fut une des particularités du réseau DOGMATIS (Défis des OGM aquatiques, tendances, impacts et stratégies) que de questionner cette problématique comme un objet non encore identifiable, en amont d’une éventuelle crise – comme cela peut être le cas aux États-Unis – et selon une approche différente de celles employées pour les OGM végétaux. Deux objectifs principaux ont guidé ce réseau de chercheurs : élaborer une stratégie pluraliste pour anticiper et instruire cette question, et permettre un enrichissement du débat public. Le travail présenté ici est le fruit d’une collaboration interdisciplinaire entre une dizaine de chercheurs d’institutions différentes pendant plus de quatre ans.

Interdisciplinary anticipation of the issue of genetically modified fishThe issue of genetically modified fish is on the agenda in the United States, especially with the marketing application by the CompanyAquaBounty Technologies of a genetically modifiedAtlantic Salmon designed for human consumption. The situation is quite different in Europe in the sense that GM fish is currently a non-issue. Yet, in 2007, a network of researchers (called DOGMATIS) developed around this topic. Considering it as an object so far not identified, upstream of a possible crisis - as may occur in the US - and using a different approach from those used for GMplants, this network pursues twomain objectives: to develop a pluralistic strategy to anticipate and informthis issue, and to contribute to the enrichment of public debate. Thework presented here is the result of an interdisciplinary collaboration among a dozen researchers from different institutions over more than four years.
