Cet article propose une interprétation inédite de l’ennéagramme à partir des transcendantaux. Il expose ce qu’est l’ennéagramme, méthode de connaissance de soi et de développement personnel et les trois principales objections qu’il soulève. Puis il décrit les transcendantaux, au sens médiéval du terme, comme propriétés de l’être, qui lui sont coextensives. Il montre alors la corrélation entre chacun des neuf types de l’ennéagramme et les transcendantaux qui, en retour, sont à la fois enrichis et réinterprétés, ouvrant à une métaphysique de l’être comme amour.

The enneagram and the transcendentals. Crossed viewsThis article offers an unusual interpretation of the enneagram arising from the transcendentals. It shows what the enneagram is ‒ a method of self-knowledge and personal development – and the three principal objections which it raises. It describes the transcendentals, in the medieval sense of the term, as properties of being which are co-extensive with it. Then it shows the correlation between each one of the nine types of the enneagram and the transcendentals which, in return, are at the same time enriched and reinterpreted, opening to a metaphysics of being as love.
