Dans le cadre des activités de la pépinière interdisciplinaire CNRS-PSL « Domestication et fabrication du vivant », le colloque international « Biobanques : quelles reconfigurations pour le vivant ? » a été organisé pour engager une réflexion collective autour des biobanques. En réunissant des chercheurs provenant des sciences de la vie (biologie, médecine) et des sciences humaines et sociales (anthropologie, sociologie), l’objectif était de se pencher sur la diversité des opérations de transformation du vivant que ces nouvelles institutions produisent dans le domaine médical, comme dans les pratiques impliquant des animaux, des végétaux ou des microorganismes.

Biobanking: reconfiguration of living matter, what issues? Interdisciplinary approachesIn the framework of the interdisciplinary research program “Domestication and Fabrication of the Living” (CNRS-PSL), the international conference “Biobanking : reconfiguration of living matter, what issues ?” was organized to engage a collective reflection on the topic of biobanking. This conference brought together scientists (biology, medicine) and researchers from the Humanities and the Social Sciences (anthropology, sociology) in order to explore the diversity of operations designed to transform living material developed by these new institutions, in the field of human medicine, as well as in practices involving animals, plants or micro-organisms.
