Une partie des anciens militants de la Jeunesse agricole catholique (1929/1933-1961/1963), très implantée en Bretagne, s’est engagée à gauche dans les années 1960-1970. L’imprégnation par le message catholique-social de la JAC semble avoir été moins déterminante dans cette orientation que l’apprentissage d’une expérience militante ou l’incitation à analyser son milieu et à servir la Cité dans une conjoncture de sécularisation et de recomposition de la gauche.

A part of the former activists of the Jeunesse agricole catholique (1929/1933-1961/1963), a widespread organization in Brittany, took a left political turn in the 1960’s and 70’s. When this turn occurred, the social-catholic message seems to have been less determining than the apprenticeship of a militant experience or the encouragement to analyse its background and to help the city in the general context of secularization and reshuffling of the left.
